    Restylane Contour® is an injectable dermal filler that is placed beneath the skin. It works to restore volume of the midface and can also be used to augment the cheeks.

    Restylane Contour is a specialized dermal filler featuring hyaluronic acid (HA) - a sugar naturally present in the human body that helps keep skin hydrated, vibrant, and elastic - as well as a limited amount of lidocaine, a local anesthetic used for numbing the treatment site. With the inclusion of BDDE, an ingredient that aids in forming a HA network, Restylane Contour forms a lasting gel filler.

    As time passes, skin elasticity and volume diminish in the face, leading to sagging and hollowed features. Restylane Contour is created to temporarily replace lost volume in the midface and augment the cheeks of patients aged 21 and over.

    Restylane Contour® is composed of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring sugar molecule that helps the skin maintain moisture, volume, and elasticity, plus a small amount of lidocaine, a local anesthetic used to numb the area. To provide longer-lasting results, BDDE is used to crosslink HA, creating a gel-like filler.

    Dermal fillers are injectable treatments utilized to reduce wrinkles while augmenting volume and restoring suppleness in the face. There are several varieties, one of which is hyaluronic acid. Restylane Contour® is composed of synthetic transparent hyaluronic acid, which is a sugar naturally present in the skin that assists in hydration, volume, and flexibility.

    Patients treated with Restylane Contour® can enjoy facial rejuvenation results for up to a year and a half, while the cheeks may see results for up to twelve months.

     

    How long does it take Restylane treatments to work?

    Treatment appointments with Restylane products require less than an hour and visibly fill wrinkles almost immediately. Derived from a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, Restylane behaves similarly to how the body's own hyaluronic acid works and eventually biodegrades. Each formula is crafted for a specific purpose.

     

    What are the side effects of Restylane products?

    Following your treatment, mild side effects, including swelling, redness, pain, bruising, headaches, and itching at the injection site, as well as tenderness, may occur. Generally, these effects last 7 days or less in nasolabial folds, and 14-18 days or less in lips. For moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, patients should not exceed 6.0 mL per treatment. Those younger than 36 may be more prone to swelling and those 35 and older may be more prone to bruising.

     

    How many treatments of Restylane products are needed?

    Restylane Contour® treatments are often completed in a single visit; however, some customers require multiple sessions. Your specialist will assess your body chemistry to design a maintenance plan tailored to your needs. Speak with a medical professional about your individual requirements.

     

    Who should not use Restylane products?

    Restylane Contour® is not suitable for persons who are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18 years for nasolabial folds, or under 22 years for lips; have recently consumed drugs which thin or inhibit clotting; have suffered allergic reactions, particularly to gram-positive bacteria; have a history of severe allergic reactions requiring hospital treatment; suffer from bleeding disorders; or are allergic to lidocaine.

    You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
